Creation Care Presents: Creation Connections featuring Jeff Lyng

“Colorado’s New Energy Economy: Past, Present and Future”

Jeff Lyng is the Director of Energy & Environmental Policy at Xcel Energy, a U.S. utility serving 3.3 million electric and 1.8 million gas customers in eight states. In this role, he is responsible for developing strategic direction and policies that will continue the company’s leadership in the clean energy transition while keeping customer bills low. In previous roles, Jeff was a Senior Policy Advisor with the Center for the New Energy Economy at Colorado State University and Renewable Energy Policy Manager in Governor Ritter’s Energy Office. He is a past Chair of the American Solar Energy Society and project manager for the 2005 University of Colorado Solar Decathlon Team.

He is looking forward to sharing his experiences and understanding with the community.

Music Ministry- Children’s Choir News

Register Now – MPB Parish Children’s Choir!

Come put your faith into action by serving at Mass and discover your unique voice and talent! MPB Children’s Choir is open to all parish children, of any school, grades 2-6 (7th grade and higher are very welcome as helpers or they can join the Adult Music Ministry). We sing once a month at alternating Masses and we rehearse every other week on Mondays at 6:30pm. You may register for Sept-Dec and/or Jan-May. Do both or “one semester”. Most intermediate level instrumentalists are also welcome. Our 1st rehearsal is Monday, 9/10/18, at 6:30pm in the church. Please register here: or email Teresa at

Meditation and Movement will be Tuesdays, August 7, 21, 28th and September 4th from 5:30-6:30pm in the RCIA Room (NO class on August 14th) The theme of this session is: Practicing the Pause: Praying Unceasingly. As we move, we will reflect on becoming more aware of our lives, of how we can practice the art of praying all the time.
