Ending Homelessness One Family At A Time …

Volunteer Opportunities with Family Promise formerly known as Interfaith Hospitality Network

MPB has a long history of hospitality with Interfaith Hospitality Network. IHN is now “Family Promise”. We are partnering with Grace United Methodist to support families in need. Grace is located at 4905 E Yale Ave, Denver, CO 80222 and is a little over a mile from MPB. Although we will not actually “host” the families on campus, we now have the opportunity to continue our support to this ministry.

Grace will be hosting the families from June 16-22, 2019.  They need help unloading beds and luggage, setting up rooms on June16  which takes about 1.5 hours and then take down and loading beds and luggage on June 22 .  Their greatest need is for van drivers from Grace to the day site and back in the afternoon Monday through Friday during the week. This takes about 2.5 hours per day. There is also a need to provide meals and side dishes for the guests. Please e-mail Carol Greenwald at for more information and sign up to help.

Road to Cleaner Air

Thank You for Welcoming the Refugees

55 refugees from various Central American Countries arrived in the early morning hours on May 13. Three area churches hosted these men, women and children while arrangements could be made for them to unite with sponsors and family members across the country. Many Justice Matters Ministry and other MPB community members reached out to make them feel supported and welcomed through donations of clothing, food, toiletries, money and companionship. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ.
