September 23rd & 24th Happy Feet Shoe and Sock Drive

The Society of St Vincent de Paul is collecting new socks and gently used men’s, women’s and children’s shoes the weekend of September 23 and 24. This year your donations will go to two homeless shelters, a homeless drop-in center and a community-based clothing bank: Samaritan House Homeless Shelter, Denver Rescue Mission, Father Woody’s Haven of Hope and Integrated Family Community Services. While the need for men’s work and tennis shoes remains a high priority, the greatest need this year for all of these agencies is new socks for men, women and children. So, if you don’t have shoes to recycle, new socks, all sizes, would be greatly appreciated. Collection bins will be curbside before and after the Saturday and Sunday morning Masses on September 23 & 24. Happy feet have shoes and socks.

Hurricane Harvey Relief Collection

This past weekend you gave generously to the collection for Hurricane Harvey Relief and we are sending those funds totaling $18,154.00 to Catholic Relief Services to aid in the recovery. We are blessed to have a parish who answered this call.

Please keep those affected by Hurricane Irma in your prayers as they go forward to assess damages and begin the clean- up process.

Volunteers Needed

SHARE THE CARE MINISTRY, a team-based approach to caregiving, is looking for additional volunteers interested in helping our homebound, elderly or ill parishioners with weekly needs such as meals, transportation, or visits.  Currently, we are most in need of drivers for Mass on the weekends or appointments during the week.

LAZARUS BREAVEMENT MINISTRY is looking for parishioners to journey with other parishioners through the first year of grieving the loss of a loved one.  Bereavement ministers offer a listening ear and compassionate presence.  Support to those grieving include cards, calls and one on one visits from time to time.

If you would like to volunteer in either of these ministries or would like more information, please contact Christine in the parish office or at
