The ministry of Altar Servers is a wonderful way for young people to learn more about the way Catholics gather and pray the Sacred Liturgy. Their primary responsibilities are to assist the priest during the celebration of Mass. Servers must be 4th grade or older and possess a sense of reverence, attentiveness, and have the ability to think on their feet. Training is required that will include learning the flow of the liturgy, what will take place at various times, and learning the names of items used in the liturgy (such as chalice, purificator, missal, etc.)
