Lazarus Ministry is the outreach presence of the entire MPB community to those members suffering loss. Lazarus ministers support members of our MPB community during the grieving process over the loss of a friend or family member.
Life After Loss – MPB Grief Support Group meets every second Tuesday of the month in the Parish Center, Conference Room A, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The mission of the support group is to allow individuals to share their experiences, feelings, and emotions following the death of loved ones with others who are on the very same journey. In the sharing, we often discover new ways of coping and begin to discover new strength and hope. Rosemary Claassen, a MPB parishioner and an experienced grief group facilitator. Please contact her at 802-324-0276.
Lazarus ministers support MPB community members through a time of bereavement by phone calls, notes, supplying resources, prayer and presence.

Our ministry’s mission is to reach out to those who mourn. Approximately once a year the Lazarus Ministry provides a grief workshop that is run by bereavement professionals. Additionally each month the First Friday mass is dedicated to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Each year the All Soul’s Day service is devoted to remembering those we have loss. Information for these events will be in the bulletin.
Our ministry has gathered a list of Community Resources available in our area. Many, but not all of the resources deal with specific losses such as suicide, loss of a child etc. In addition, please refer to this list of recommended books on loss and mourning.”
